Spanish Pork Shashliks

  • ingredients:
  • 4 KR Castlemaine Bred Free Range Pork Scotch Steaks, trimmed
  • 100ml olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 red capsicums
  • 3 yellow capsicums
  • 4 sml purple onions, halved
  • Tomato salsa to serve
  • method:
  • 1. Blend oil, paprika & balsamic vinegar in a large non-metallic dish.

    2. Marinate pork in the mixture for up to 24 hrs.

    3. Cut capsicums into 6 or 8 pieces.

    4. Thread pork, onion & capsicums onto skewers.

    5. On a pre-heated BBQ griddle, cook shashlicks on a medium heat for 5-6 mins.

    6. Serve hot with baked potatoes, salad & salsa. Notes: Any vegetables can be threaded onto skewers prior to cooking. Use large skewers.
