  • ingredients:
  • 600g KR Castlemaine So Tender! Pork stir fry strips
  • 2 tbsp kecap manis (dark sweet soy sauce)
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp peanut oil
  • 40g nasi goreng paste
  • 300g thin egg noodles
  • 4 spring onions, diagonally sliced
  • 1 carrot, peeled and grated
  • 1 small red capsicum, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 100g bean sprouts
  • 2 tbsp fried shallots
  • To serve:
  • Sliced chilli
  • method:
  • 1. Pre-heat wok. Place the kecap manis, garlic, sesame oil, peanut oil and nasi goreng paste into a large bowl, mix well. Stir through the pork.

    2. Place noodles into a large bowl, cover with warm tap water. Allow to soak for 10 mins.

    3. Heat wok over a medium heat for 2 mins, add a little oil. Pour in beaten egg and water mixture to make a thin omelette. Cook for 1-2 minutes. Remove, set aside.

    4. Return wok to the heat. Drizzle with a little oil, stir fry spring onions, carrot, capsicum for 2 mins. Remove and set aside.

    5. Return the wok to the heat, cook pork strips in 2 portions until well browned 3-4 mins. Remove, set aside.

    6. Drain noodles.

    7. Return the wok to the heat and toss in the noodles, add stock, toss well until noodles are hot.

    8. Add pork and vegetables to the wok, toss through until warm.

    9. Slice egg into thin shreds, add to wok along with the bean sprouts. Toss well.

    10. Serve hot garnished with fried shallots and sliced chilli.
